Registration for this contest has closed due to the number of applications already received.

The Acme Oyster Eating World Championship will return to the New Orleans on Sunday, June 3.

Making its debut in 2010 at the New Orleans Oyster Festival, the event will anchor the 2-day festival for the third consecutive year. A lively field always greets NOLA, given the prestige of the ACME title within the MLE community.

Last year's event witnessed #2-ranked Pat "Deep Dish" Bertoletti eating 39 dozen Acme oysters in 8 minutes to fend off Dubuque's Aaron "A-train" Osthoff by just twelve half shells. Local favorite Adrian Morgan will look to improve upon his third place finish in 2011 (32 dozen oysters), while 2002 Acme Champion Crazy Legs Conti does his best to recreate the magic that's already seen him win twice in 2012.

Competitors will eat the oysters with a fork, as required by MLE.

Prize Payouts 1st - $1,000 2nd - $500 3rd - $250
